What’s TMJ where TMD spurs?

TMJ is the joint which joins each side of your face jaw with the skull. The muscles, ligaments, and the bone itself provide support to the joint. Better feel it than know it. Keep your fingers in front of your ears and open your mouth to feel TMJ. This is the joint which aids you in eating, talking, chewing, and yawning. A simple function of chewing requires 50 pairs of muscles and multiple nerves to complete the action. Therefore, the movement of TMJ for tiny functions may affect the other muscles. That is why TMJ complex makeup and its complicated tissues and joint system make it difficult for the patient to identify the pain.
