Testimony # 1
Mr. Ahmed Aly
To Whom It May Concern,
I was in a terrible accident back in June 2014.
After multiple surgeries, I needed complete rehabilitation; including learning how to walk again. The entire staff was wonderful. Of special note, Mr. Ahmed Aly. He became not only my physical therapist, but my biggest supporter and friend. Like most patients, I thought I knew everything and wanted to get quickly to the “meat and potatoes” of the therapy so I could go home.
Aly shattered that reality very quickly, yet professionally and caringly. He was there during every phase of my recovery; even when I didn’t want him to be sometimes! You can tell he really loves what he does, but most importantly he loves his patients. One incident stands out to me the most. For months I had been complaining about getting my casts off so I can walk and get out there.
I was Miss Billy Bad when it came to that. And all during that time Aly was telling me not to rush things they all come in due time. Well, due time came … and I was terrified! And what did Aly do? Did he say I told you so? Nope. Did he laugh at me? Yeah he did! But he got me to laugh at myself; for all my big talk, I couldn’t take my first step! But what he did most importantly was sit there with me. After the group therapy session and everyone left, he sat there with me. We talked, we joked, we laughed. He got me to take my first step, by just being my friend. And as they say, the rest is history.
Aly taught me a lot about what it means to truly have someone in your corner; through the good and the bad. I honestly do not think I would be where I am today if it wasn’t for him.
Thank you Aly!
